Beaver Las Vegas Prize query

Post by Westierules2000 »

Hi,
i have a Beaver Las Vegas global games fruit machine, which is set on £5 Jackpot, however, the money prize on the main feature board does not correspond with this, and thinks its still a £15 machine. How do i change it, or teach the machine to not go above £5.
For the record, the lower money area by the reels works fine, its only the one on the actual feature board
Many Thanks

there are 4 switches on the prize side, and 4 on the stake side...the stake side seems to be correct.

Stake (2) Red, Prize (1), Brown = 20p play/£5 jackpot.

done that, and it works, but still have this problem on the actual feature board... Is there a way of seperately re-programming that or is it all done on that chip thingy?

do you mean the artwork?
ie does it light up behind £15 pounds whilst awarding you something less?

if so it's just a case of changing the decal from the inside, it should just slide out from the top. look in bottom of cabinet, the alternatives are often wedged in a bag pushed to the back

yeah if you like - the artwork is set for a £5 machine, but for some reason the machine thinks its a £25 jackpot (i got it wrong yesterday when i said £15), but only when you get on the feature board...thats why i can't get my head round it...
If you get 3 grapes on the reels for instance, you win £1-50 which is correct. If you are on the feature board, and press collect cash on say the £3-00 light, you win £7-00.
I have now changed the settings on the little chip thing to make it a £25 25p a go and that works spot on, but it would be better back as a £5 machine. I have attached a couple of pics to try and make it more clear what i am going on about.
The long and short of it is, i somehow need to work out how to teach the machine that collecting money when on the feature should be a maximum of £5, not £25 which it seems to think regardless of what the chip is set at.

that was what it was set on when i bought it...this is what i am trying to say...for some reason, regardless of what stake/prize setting you have the chip set on, the feature board money column is always set at £25...this is why i was hoping someone on here might be able to explain to me how to reprogram that part of the machine.

:o )

it not a case of "re-programming" the machine as such, just getting the settings right.

it should go to £5/10p, but thinking about it some machines, especially if it was converted to £25 from £15 may need to have different software,

is ther any bags of stuff in the bottom? maybe there is some eproms (chips) in a plastic tube?

or maybe decals, you could always put the £25 decals in if you have them !!

nothing in the bottom, and its funny you should mention if its been converted cos the £5 decals in it don't look original. How do i get different software then to convert the whole machine back to £5?

so do you reckon it would be worth getting hold of a new stake/prize key to see if that fixes the problem, or is it more likely to be a software issue?

if ican find some "ready made ones, I'll post them to you, but mostly every one seems to use the dip switch types now.

used to have a crib sheet with the various switch settings, and the pin-out to make up hard wired ones, but can't seem to find it anywhere, sorry :-(

ok, so silly question here, but how do you change the software, or upload new software...i am assuming you must have to plug a laptop in to it or something?
