bbc commentary

62 mins: RED CARD Frustration gets the better of Wayne Rooney and he is sent off. He wrestles for the ball with Ricardo Carvalho on the halfway line and stamps on the defender's testicles.

Well that game was almost identical to the Argentina game 8 years ago, wasn't it - red card early in the second half, game ends level and goes to penalties...

:x

Gutted! :x :| :(

Why did Carragher have to re-take? Lampard and Gerrard should have done much better with their spot kicks. Where was Franks Chelsea style in the corner penalty?

Thought we did really well to hold out with 10 men. Might have even nicked it, i thought we had the better chances too. Done over on penalties AGAIN. We'll never win another shootout!

Yep, Beckham was awful. Lennon did more in the first 2 minutes he was on than Becks did in his 60. Hargreaves was fantastic, well played him. Bye bye Sven.....hopefully McLaren will give us something to cheer about :)
