'The' Game Today!

Post by Matt Vinyl »

So, what's everyones thinking on Engalnd v Equador?

I've got a sense of dread which I'm sure will turn out to be nothing, but anyway...

...Come on England!

How many of us are gonna be suffering from a 'viral condition' tomorrow morning? ;)

:)

I'm a bit worried because it is supposed to be very hot in Germany which they will be used to. But I still think we should win.
I might have a specail sort of food poisoning tomorrow 8)

i got 40 on us to win in 90 minutes, i reckon we might go abit short having no REAL wingers in a 4-1-4-1 though - but atleast it's attacking.

Im glad Crouch aint playing, and i also got £2 on 2-0 england :)

first goalscorer Beckham, terry and gerrard

personal tip for great odds - Beckham First goal and england 2-0

Just a fiver, odds are 14-1 (obviously)

I did it through paddypower, don't normally bet on stuff like that but i'd been on the casino and actually stopped while my balance was above 0.00, so just picked what i thought to be the best odds on the game???

Half-time report. Bloody hell, England have been cack. There's no reason why we should win this game based on what we've seen so far (not that Ecuador have covered themselves in glory either). Rooney is isolated and isn't mobile enough to pick up balls from the midfield, like Messi or Teves do. The England midfield have been as mundane as usual - Lampard has been dire and Gerrard is lacking the fire he brings for Liverpool. Seeing Terry diving to draw fouls is pathetic - he's a hard-as-nails centre back ffs. Carrick has been less effective than Hargreaves was. Hargreaves has been out of his depth at right-back. Robinson is flapping. Our performances in the WC so far have betrayed how over-hyped the whole team has been in the lead-up. :x

The Dutch missed a trick tonight - they should've started a huge punch-up in the last minute, coaxing as many Portuguese players into swinging their arms and kicking Dutch players in order to get them down below the minimum 7 players left on the pitch and therefore win the match by default!

Not very sporting but would be highly entertaining :)

Too right, I really can't understand how pundits can pretend that a game is 'spoilt' by multiple cards, fisticuffs and unsporting play - all these things add spice!
