I will get a job when I can't make money on machines anymore.

Employers prefer people who have good grades in Maths and English.

I also have a PCV licence which might help when I buy a Minibus with half my savings. I will then apply for local authority tenders for School Runs (good money in them) and advertise an Airport, stag-dos etc. service.

So I have plans if and when things dry up soon. And STILL be my own boss.

Taxi jobs aren't the way to go anymore. So hard to make money on these now its untrue. The old mans mate is a cabbie for the biggest firm here (panther) and after fees and everything he needs to do £600-£700 of jobs a week to just earn a decent living. Bear in mind an airport job from here is only £40-£60 (stansted/heathrow) and he often only gets a couple of these a week, its damn hard to make any fares. Last monday he made £45 all day. Too many foreigners doing it i'm afraid. Might sound xenophobic, but it's true.

Yes, they're are too many foreigners doing it.

It's ideal for them as they love handling cash and don't like to pay tax.

Fact.

Plus if you're doing school runs ther's no need to declare how much you've made or how many kids you've ferried about.

'What d'ya wanna a ticket for, its not a f*ckin raffle! Now sit down.'

Jeff Vickers + Minibus = Auto Man.

If you are working with children you also need to be cleared by the CRO. A teacher got suspended last week for getting a £50 fine for not renewing a fishing licence and now can't work until cleared by the school board. So, if you have any unspent convictions you are going to find it impossible to work in this area.
