I did enjoy the way the Evening Standard headline writer backed-down as the day went on:

Morning Edition - 'Earthquake Rocks London'

Late Prices Extra Edition (>Midday) - 'Earthquake Felt In London'

West End Final Edition (>3pm) - 'London Avoids Earthquake Chaos'

the Times called it a minor tremor from the start. the daily mail had exclamation marks on the front page!!!one!!!11!!!1!1!!!!!!!1!!!!eleven!!
