I'm Free!

Post by Mattb »

After my whole life being taught stuff, i'm finally free!

Just finished the very last piece of work for my degree. I'm either going to get a 2:1 or a 2:2 when the staff bother to mark sutff, but with all the lecturers striking and everything, who knows when that'll be!

You may now refer to me as Mr M Burton BA (Hons) Sports Studies & PE. Haha only joking! 8) :D

A month of chilling out, then out into the world of work. Seeing as i've got so much time off until June, if anyone wants to meet somewhere (within reason) for a few jars, i'll be up for that! :D

Happy regards :D :) :D

Not 100% sure yet mate. I'm thinking about doing a course to get me onto REPS (Register of Exercise Professionals) as a qualified trainer. I'm quite into exercise prescription, diet and nutrition.....so perhaps something along those lines beckons.

The average graduate wage is something like £18k now, so if i can get that, i'll be dead chuffed. I'd be clearing about £1300 a month then, and would be able to get somewhere of my own, which would be class! :D

Heh, from the title, I thought the topic starter was gonna be 'Jon Inman'!!!

Well done mate! I've been working solid for 8 years now, since doing my A-levels. Had a choice to go to uni, but woke up one morning and had a letter on my bed saying I'd been accepted for a job I applied for at GlaxoSmithKline - kicking off at £13,500...

...When I was 17 I just couldn't turn that down!!

Sometimes wish I'd have gone to uni from what I hear from other mates etc. But we pays our money and takes our choices... :)

Best of luck whatever you choose to do...

:)

Certainly! :D

I'm not sure what plans are yet though. My mate lives in Kegworth (know it?) and im staying at his to go paintballing. There's one of the national ones actually in kegworth, so we're off there. We could go into L'boro tonight, but it's going to be a late one. He's getting me from Notts station at like 9:30, so we wouldn't be there til 11. We may go in tomorrow evening instead, or equally not at all.

I'll drop you a PM :)

congrats on the desmond fella

We just waiting on the Girlfriends results at the moment, originally thought it was gonna be delayed due to all the strikes but gonna be on time now. She is very borderline for a 1st at the moment. Hoping that with the extenuating circumstances she has due to being in hospital so much it can be pushed over the edge to gurantee a 1st.

Fingers crossed
