And on that logic we'll be seeing the numbers 1,2,3,4,5 & 6 come up in the lottery before the lottery seeks to exist.
Not 100% how the draws done it changes from pre to groups to knockouts I think. Seeds. origin Placed etc. All irrelevant as UEFA is about as legit as FIFA.

yep it will happen, but the reasoning is it does not matter what round drawing it is in what league or what ever competition it would be news either way, there are that many type of this occurane that it will happen eventually, for such a small perm.
the lotto, drawing 123456 will happen eventually, but it not calculable in a life time since the draw frequency is low compared to the odds.

I don't think the odds of this are as great as you might think. The fact is that there are so many restrictions on who can play who, if a couple of ties are drawn out the same, there are not actually that many different scenarios left for the rest of the draw.

this is it, but for many people who can't grasp numbers and probabilities, these will always be impossible occurances or million to one shots.

Thanks to Arjen Robben who was clearly playing for Chelsea in the Champions League final...

To be fair there wasn't that many outcomes with how the system is. With those from the same country not getting draw together coupled with winners play runners up the odds aren't going to be that high I wouldn't have thought.

That's got to be a banker. I doubt Arse will even score!
