What daft phrases or sayings have you heard before? And what ones just don't make sense?

Here are a couple for starters that make me moan:

Bursting into tears.
What? So the person just goes "pop" and all that's left is a pool of salty water?

"So he turned round and said to her, and she turned round and said to him....."
So they both end up facing away from oneanother?

Any more?

Don't no if this fits in but a bar I go in newcastle has slang sayings all over the wall. I don't even know what some off them means. Couple I can remember are 'if wor lass asks yav nivva seen is'. 'Giz a deek' 'hawkin and riven'... There was loads when I'm in at weekend I'll post a few see if you know them.

What so the person takes out their eyes and rolls them along the ground to you? Maybe you should roll them back, they might need them!

I had a comment today "We've had more rain than we've had today and yesterday!"

Well, no, this is impossible. Today isn't over, so you can't have more rain than today!

When people refer to other peoples ages:-
