Got the builders in today doing my kitchen out, what fucking workmen start at 11am. I thought tradesmen started at 8. This has fucked my day right up, i cant go out bcos i dont want anything getting stolen. just heard a segment on the news about the british public being too trusting

you should of chosen a tradesman that come highly recommended by friends or family then, someone that you feel comfortable with, you can usually get a feeling on the type of person they are when they come round to do your initial quotation.

They are recommended by a mate of mine whos a chippy, there actually ok now. said he had to take his kid to the hospital so fair enough. he seems ok, so will prob go out late...and let him get on with it. just gunna lock all the coins and that in my bedroom lol. there coming at 7.30 tomoz and going at 4 so thats better for me

just leave the tea stuff out and tell them to feel free to use the toilet, this goes a long way, when i was in the building game you wouldnt believe how many people didnt even offer you a cup of tea, its the small touches that keep them sweet, im sure they will be fine mate.

yeah, given them a brew. i was surprised he asked if he could use the toilet. yeah i said when i go out help yourself to tea and biscuits and that. they seemed greatful. the only reason my mate put me onto this joiner cos apparently hes really good and fast aswell. he said they call me fast eddie, i got in there and said u sure they dont call u steady eddie and that made him laugh.

painted white, black granite work surface, put a breakfast bar in and do some tiling and put a wood floor down. he said he can get it done within a week easy and to a high spec so should be all good. hes got a lad with him , must be like a labourer when they rip the old one out, which there doing as i write this.

Hes making the cuboards from scratch aswell, so fuck he must be good of he can do it in a week

its not stealing thats always the problem , afterall ,,, a lot of these tradesmen rely on good word of mouth to keep generating new work ,,,,,,,,, in this climate they can ill afford to jepodise that by petty theft .

no ,,,, the bigger problem , (and nigling thought at the back of your mind) ,,,,, should you chose to go out ? ,,,,,,,,, is the human nature dilemma .
