I never really gave my username any thought when I signed up, I used my real name.

No big deal, this isn't exactly a 'bad' forum to be a member of. So I nearly crashed the car when I drove by this place on Monday.

:D :D

And this isn't photoshopped. Google streetmap it if you want.

Heh, nice!

I'd certainly recognise you if I met you though, that white face would be a dead giveaway. ;)

JG wrote:For all you Rainbow Riches fans there's a place called Golden Pot in Hampshire. It took me a while to find it on Google maps as I was typing in Gold Pot first of all. I cycled thorugh there, many years back, on the way to see The Tour De France on one of the years where it crosses briefly into the UK for one of the stages. I think we cycled from near Aldershot, through this Golden Pot village to Portsmouth.
The pub in the village had a Screen Play. It may have changed now, but then again I'm not sure. It was over 15 years ago now, so it probably has changed, maybe to a £10 Viva Espagne or something or a £500 jackpot Perfect Deal.
Anyway I digress, this is slightly off topic as there quite clearly isn't a place called Jackpot George or JG even. Hold on, best Google it to check. Ok, no exact match for Jackpot George but there is a JG way....JG Way, Seymour, TN, United States. So cameraphone at the ready and flights across The Atlantic already booked...here I come.....
Never noticed that before! and i am sure i have passed through there as always around them ways, although its very rare for me to take the alton - hook road, but i will definetely be checking out that pub and reporting back ;)

Don't know why but remember as about a ten year old we broke down right near this pub on the way back from a family holiday in Dorset. Whilst we were waiting for my uncle to come and tow us back to Reading my brother and I befriended the landlords daughter, who was blind. This is weird remembering this, as can't recall what I did last week.
