anyhow bought ,,,,,,,,,,, 1 piece of chicken with 1 (lge) crispy strip ,, 2 hot wings , fries and a can of vimto ,,,,,,,,,,,,, £1.99 ,,,,,,,,,, how the fuck do they make any profit on that???

take into account packaging , napkin , sauce satche , straw ,,,,,,, premises rent heating , electricity , gas , rates , staff wages etc

Heh, there's a place near me that does a 7" pizza, fries and a can of drink for £1.99 too. Plus, it's actually bloody nice! As you say though, not sure how they make any profit on it. Can't complain yet though - as I'm usually one for quality nosh and you can 'see what you're eating' and it isn't too bad at all...

They probably sell stuff not normally available in takeaways ie white and brown powders.

how would you compete with that , if you wanted to set up your own business ??? look at the length's you have to go to , to compete for the student grant .

a few of us are toying with the idea of setting something up together , not a huge investment , dont want to put all our eggs in one basket so to speak ,,,,,,,,, say 5-15 k per man .

but what sort of business , i haven't a clue and have no business nouse whatsoever lol
