I got 2 Birdies today, and one of them was so nearly a hole in one :(
148 for the round not bad. Plenty of booze too :)

Very impressive tka! :D

Glad we have some fellow golfers on here. I can't get enough of it, especially in the summer. I only started playing a couple of years ago, but as i'm fairly sporty (just done a degree studying it, so that counts for something right? :D ) and quite co-ordinated i'm already not too bad. I usually go round in around 100-110, and at my peak last summer i got a 96. If i can consistently shoot under 100, i can get a handicap! 8)

Best parts of my game are my driving and my putting. I'm not the biggest guy, but on top form i've driven it a good 275 yards. I'm sure with some swing and weight transfer amendments i could get over 300. All my golf is self taught, so its bound to be full of errors! My best ever hole was when i got within 15 feet of the longest hole (565 yards) on my local course. Creamed a drive about 250, then hit a sweet 5 wood off the deck another 180 or so. Hit the rest with a 7 iron, but missed the birdie. Got my par, and was so chuffed!

I'm awful with my short game though. Anything under about 50 yards and im toast! I'm so inconsistent it's unreal :D

Heres that masterful hole, my course fave.
Teed it clear of the right hand bunker and straight into the fairway. Hit a clean as you like 5 wood just short of that 118, again plum in the fairway. 7 ironed a nice high one straight onto the green (it was damp, so no rollbacks or anything) in front of the pin. Missed the birdie, but parred it anyway. Got to be loving golf! :D

Getting below 100 is a great effort Matt, my best is about 130ish. I have never even had a bogey at a par 5 though, same problem with distance. My putting is normally pretty good but the long game needs a lot of help :x
