I want a proof one, it is a bit silly paying £5 for a pound coin but hey, I'll frame it and put it on my wall

Whats so special about the 1998 coins that makes them different? The design on the back?

Yes and there were not very many made.

I got 3 today! I know I'm sad.

Heh - we should have slightly more chance than most people in finding these - the amount of coins that come and go our way. I've ruined a few jeans pockets overfilling 'em with pounds!

:)

I just check every £1 which comes my way. Yesterday I put £20 in a S16, took 19 as change and there was one amongst the 19. played with the rest and my winnings of 25 had two more.

I was playing poker with a mate last night and noticed he had one of these in his money pile, so I swapped him it for one of mine...he was a bit confused as to why I wanted it so much!

Do you want it?
