The referee was such an idiot - many decisions went against England that shouldn't have done.
Terry header? 50/50 ball, he won it, free kick....
Hargreaves gets a yellow card for having a go at the ref yet Figo (I think it was him) screams at him and play continues.
Robinson kicks the ball out of play... Beckham is fouled.... England throw-in. Surely that's an England free kick or a Portugal throw-in??
Linesman was overruled on more than one occasion when he was in fact correct.
Hargreaves flattens a player outside the box and gets nowhere near the ball - no Portugal free kick.
I don't think Rooney should have been sent off - fouled at least three times by two players just before. He gets a man wrapped around him and when he tries to steady his balance the ref blows the whistle. Then he doesn't reach for his pocket until Rooney pushes Ronaldo - what the hell was going on??
Carragher scores a penalty but the keeper "wasn't ready". We must remember that tactic in future matches as it clearly works.
The FA are supposedly clamping down on diving - anyone notice how the Portugese went down in 'agony' only to start running about again when the ball was back in play?
Two Portugese players are pretending to be injured on the floor, England kick the ball out of play to allow them treatment, they promptly stand up again and instead of replaying the ball to the keeper they play it out for a throw-in about 15 feet from the corner flag.
Very poor refereeing, some Portugese cheating and a distinct lack of sportsmanship ruined that game. Ronaldo will not be well received at Manchester United anymore.
I'm not going to rub you chaps' noses in it, but what I did find funny was the commentary during Rooney's sending off.
Log onto the BBC website, and watch the highlights of the match. Listen to the noise that Mark Lawrenson makes whenever Rooney is shown the red card. It's hilarious!

The referee hadn't blown his whistle. That's why the penalty was retaken.
Hmm that's fair comment actually - on replay he plonks the ball down, marks his run-up, and takes it. No waiting for the referee. Maybe he heard one of the many whistles in the crowd that seem to have confused viewers throughout the tournament.
The suggestion about the goalkeeper claiming he's not ready is potentially a good 'un - except I've seen keepers made to look really stupid when referees have blown the whistle and the keeper has attempted to pull out at the final moment. They then stand and watch the ball sail into the net and the ref tells them to shut up. So all-in-all, not really worth trying!
