Well Lugsy[edit], you have got three of the four i have printed in front of me. The fourth was US Marine Corp.

BUT, whilst trying to confirm the answer i couldnt.

Wiki reckons USAF 5778 units, USN 3700 units, and i cant get figures for the other two.

Another site has 1.USA
2.Russia
3.China - 2300units

So my question could be correct; China has 2300 units and the USN has 3700 units of its own.

Combat aircraft on another site rank USA 4114
China 4107
Russia 3180
Ukraine 970
India 849

Although a lot of the aircraft of China and Russia are said to be unfit for combat.

So all's as clear as mud, and i will not be using that particular question again! Sorry if i have misled anyone!!!!!!
