Still, it's an easy way of getting somebody to do your maths / computing homework for you!

Another one for all the vexillology fans out there...

This is the largest flagpole in the world. Where is it and why was it built?

Not a clue. Is it somewhere in the middle east, erected by a bonkers government to show how amazing and proud they are?

It's due to either politics or religion.. so I've plumped for politics.
Still kicking about.

NOt in South America either.

I'll give you a clue: it was made as a show of oneupmanship against this countries' neighbours.

Fraid not.

The flag itself weighs a quarter of a ton, and must be removed the instant it starts raining, as the pole cannot support the weight of it when it's wet.

The reason why it was built was simply because a 100m high flagpole was constructed on the other side of the border, and they simply had to have a bigger one...

The two countries in question are still at war, although there has been a ceasefire for the last half-century.

How are you going to get vexillology into WU, UP... surely it won't fit?

Anyway, it's your turn Demmerz..
(had to edit as I had originally gave it to UP.. but that's what happens when you all have the same avatar)

NO idea, though his son is even more of a nut job.

I would still love to go on a trip there. Not really sure why...

Sorry that link above doesn't work. But it's not difficult to find on Wikipedia.
