Okay, Leon Schlesinger was a Hollywood producer, whose animation studio would later become the Warner Bros. Cartoons studio. But which character's voice was allegedly directly based on his? And there is a reason I say "directly."

Sylvester the Cat? Nope, he's the one who is the reason for me saying "directly based". Sylvester's voice was based off the character who was based on Schlesinger. And that's the clue that should give it away. :)

I think this question is well and truly dead (and I thought it was so guessable too :) ). The answer was Daffy Duck, although Mel Blanc denied it in his later autobiography, the rumour persisted for years.
