That's exactly what I thought. Sorry. OK, which was the last year when none of the four FA Cup semi-finalists were from the big four (i.e. Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool)?

THe last final was 91 but Spurs beat Arsenal in the semi, so it must be 1987...

Should be "year" rather than season, but yeah that's right: Ball, Shilton, Wright, Mills, Keegan, Channon & Watson all played for Southampton at some point in 1982

No. He played in the 1970s and had a moderately successful time as a manager in the early 1990s.
