Consider yourself klaxoned and thinking about it, this one might have originated from QI. Its wiki entry does back up the claim though.

Yes very well done . It is the Fresh Kills landfill site in New York just off of Staten Island.

given that they cheated and claimed isle of man/jersey/etc were different countries to imbalance the playing field even more it can't be continental country. i'll guess England, the mightiest country in the world (when we cheat).
