Most interesting UP.

I've deleted a question about Jerry Sadowitz's most offensive quips (you can still read 'em here... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerry_Sadowitz) in favour of a slightly-more gentlemanly question.

Which 1990 British sitcom has only ever had one episode aired, despite 8 episodes being made?

Something dreadful, like the UK remakes of Golden Girls or Married with Children?

Nice guesses. Brighton Belles ran for 6 weeks, Married for Life I think ran for an entire season.

This show is quite famous for being offensive (and not just offensively bad)

Married for Life had Russ Abbot as the father for Gods sake. I never saw him as Al Bundy. ;)

Something by Chris Morris?

Nope.

This show usually features in Top Ten TV MOMENTS from HELL or something equally banal.

It was made for BSkyB in 1990 and only transmitted once before there was such a furore that it was pulled, never to be seen again

(except you can watch the 1st episode on YouTube)

Agh, there was one by Spike Milligan which was considered beyond the pale, but I can't remember the name. Was that it?

Nope. This show had a bunch of nobodies playing the very famous characters.

It was made in the style of I Love Lucy and other American TV comedy shows of yesteryear
