If that's a crossbow I would say Monkhouse, Golden Shot. never seen it (far too young) but crossbow question comes up a fair bit on SWPs?

OK - having spent rather too long there over the weekend, a bit of Lords trivia.

The current site is actually the third "Lords" and was founded in 1814. When was the original founded which also coincides with the founding of the MCC?

As an additional clue, I attended the bicentennial test between MCC and the ROW.[/quote]

I'll make a stab at 1788 Hornby.

Not bad Grecian- one out it was actually 1787 but I will give it you.

Incidentally, Gatting, Gooch, Greenidge and Gavaskar all made tons in the bicentennary game.

Over to G.

Tricksy

Name the pair of brothers, one of which played in an FA Cup final in the 1980s and the other of which played in a World Cup final in the 1980s.

John Fashanu played in a FA Cup final in 1988.
But I don't think Justin Fashanu ever played in a World Cup final, although I could be wrong...

Hmmmm. This is a toughie. Given that there were only 2 WC finals in the 80s, and only 3 teams in those 2 matches, I'd say that the chaps in question were either Italian, German or Argentinian.

Stab in the dark.... Dino Zoff.

None of those. Think a bit laterally.

Christ. Thinking laterally? That's me scuppered.

Was it perhaps the Rugby World Cup? Or more likely the Cricket World Cup?

One of the two, Cardinal... But who were the players?

Right. Well I know England played in a cricket WC final in the 80s, but that is the sum total of my 80s cricket knowledge.

Still - might as well have a guess. Alan Lamb.

No. It is an England player from that cricket final, but I'll also need his footballing brother who played in an FA Cup Final.

I'll admit defeat on this one.

I even tried to cheat on this one to find out if I've even heard of the chaps involved. Whilst doing so, I stumbled upon this little nugget of info...

Olympiakos goalkeeper Kleopas Giannou won €100m in the Greek National Lottery in 2002.

Anyway, back to the quiz!
