Cheers. It is a little chilly outside at the moment, so I will pose a related question:
The lowest recorded temperature in Europe was in Russia (-58 c), but which European country comes last in a comparison of lowest recorded temperatures?
(For example, if Hawaii was part of Europe then that would be the answer as the coldest recorded temp there was -11 c)

Not the answer I had on my list NM, but after investigation you are correct.
My obviously incomplete list had Portugal at -16 c, followed by Ireland at -19c
Greece has been a rather brisk -27.8 c
Seeing as it has never been recorded as going below freezing point in Malta that makes it the runaway winner!

i dont usually read the quiz, but have to chip in at this point! My old man loved the smiths and used to play them all the time in the car.....Im sure all these places are mentioned in one of their songs, I can definitely pick out three or four! Couldnt tell you the album or song title though Im afraid!
