Nope to either I'm afraid. This sport has 1 or 2 variants and can be played all year round.

Both men and women play, indeed it is the men who contest this trophy.

A famous Sir is said to have a hand in the game.

Got to be bowls- flat and crown green. I imagine the tournie referred to is flat (the more popular variant). In fact dont see many crown greens down here at all.

OK looks like Stuart is not around.

Which English Graphic designer is perhaps best known for designing most of New Order/ Joy Division's cover art?

That's toooo obscure for most people(unless they might have watched 24 Hour Party People). I had to cheat and have still not heard of him.

And whilst we're on the subject of cheating, I looked up the previous question about the Hilton Trophy - Markyb got the right answer with Bridge, so if he wants to ask a question too, feel free!

OK apologies for the obscurity- the answer was Peter Saville.

I am sure BTW that I have had that on an SWP before.

Re bridge YE WTF

I think from when I previously looked there may also be a Hilton Trophy in backgammon but not contested between the home nations and not fitting the two variant/ Sir Francis Drake clue?
