okay, another clue. this country has been featured in phoenixes ( phoenices?) 21, 31, 60 and is tiny

ok, my sort of educated guess (as i have very little interest in eurovision and also was not born in 1974 :) ) goes as follows:
abba sing Warterloo and France assume that it is about the battle of waterloo and take offence, shown by said 'null point'?

you took my bait Kai and got most of it right. the song was waterloo, it did take the piss out of french military history but that is not the reason. it is actually much more simple.

okieday.
there are five countries in the world whos name you can spell, in capital letters, without creating any loops or 'colsed areas' in the letters. e.g. SPAIN is not allowed due to the P and the A. ENGLAND, for the A and the D.
I hope thats clear enough to understand. bonus credits to anyone who can get the realy difficult one ;)
