Nope. More mainstream than that.

I sometimes use his name as rhyming slang for an alcoholic beverage

I thought of that. But I'm pedantic and don't think that Mell-OR rhymes with Stell-A.

And I like lambasting Sue Denim at every opportunity.

I remember a similar debate with Gran (occasional visitor of this forum) where he tried to use the phrase "Some guy was handed his rogers" ... Rogers being rhyming slang for Roger Waters ... i.e. jotters.

Anyway, Richard Tiffany Gere is correct. Back to Sue.

Did Zidane not offer him his shirt after the match cos he was tugging it so much, to which he replied something about his sister being a whorebag or something (can't remember exactly).

The phrase "to be handed your jotters" means to be given your marching orders, similar to "to be handed your cards" as used in the satirical "Dear Bill" letters. Amazingly "handed your jotters" fails to yield even 1 search on Google, so I might have to add it to the urban dictionary.

Thank you sir.

I've been watching re-runs of QI, so I'll just purloin a few questions from them (http://www.tv-links.co.uk is a brilliant site for streaming any old telly shows you might want to see).

Why did the release of the Toyota MR2 cause so much mirth in France?
