That'll do. Quite an interesting woman. It said on QI that she invented the pie chart whereas Wikipedia tells me it was some guy. Rather than do any research I just kept the question woolly.

nope, but apparently fencing (l'éscrime) is the national sport of france.

it is a ball game which is played widely in this country. but dozy yanks couldn't do it, so they had to invent a much simpler version so they could.

and on the 6th of may 1954 Roger Bannister was the first sub 4 minute miler ,everybody remembers this.

roger is heralded to this day for this feat,but his record lasted less than 7 weeks before it was creamed ,luckily for old Rodge not many people remember this, or do they?..............
