Thank you. Just remembered a previous question I asked about words that don't exist - the word I was thinking of was the opposite of exceed, which there isn't really a word for in English.

The phrase "You may think that, I could not possibly comment" is occasionally used in the Commons, but which fictional character first spoke those words?

No no your emminence I loved House of Cards when I was a nipper and it was rerun recently on BBC4 I nearly asked the verysame question a couple of weeks ago.

Its Ian Richardson who played Frances Urquart.

It was Francis Urquhart (FU for short) - the Machiavellian Chief Whip of the Conservative Party in Michael Dobb's House of Cards - it was cracking when I was a kid and it has only improved with age.

The trilogy is available from HMV at the moment for a very reasonable 16 notes.
