I will have to give it to The Hornby. Acceptance of the Oscar means that they can not sell the statue unless they offer it back to the Academy for $1. Non-acceptance means that ownership reverts back to the presenters.

So if they decline the oscar (has that often/ever happened?) Then it stays with the 'presenters'? Ie: p.diddy is selected to give outstanding contribution to porn to Jenna, she declines, so he keeps it?!
