perseus did indeed "do in" medusa ,from behind i hope ,snigger ,to avoid her stoney glare , the bonus i was after was the fact that he used the reflection on his shield to avoid being turned to stone .

wednesday wodin(odins day) norse god
thursday aaamusement already got
friday frigs day? odins missus
saturday roman god saturns day ( also saturday is tiswas day)
sunday self explanatory

it's named after tir who was a norse god, warlike fella and basically equivalent to mars in roman lore hence mardi, martedi etc in other languages.
