it is only a jack if it is on one of Her Majesty's fleet. definitely something maritime.

Aye Aye Sailor. Isty gets it- obviously reads "Text Maniacs" in the Daily Star as well. Its only a jack when flown from the bow of a Royal Navy vessel. As I understand it this is disputable.
