Caribbean Cash - New Program

Post by Mattb »

Beware all. An already quite bad machine has just got unplayable.

Had a new caribbean cash turn up here, but its so different. 10p/30p as per, but 50p turns all the superboard values red to start with. The turbo gamble is now awful and JJs-esque, losing all the time on 50p/£1. It can do you first hit on seemingly ok numbers (3/10) for no reason. Don't bother reversing as that nearly always loses too. Once the superboard is open, you can't shoot on cash/features, only in the middle. You can also only take the middle when it is active - lose a gamble and you lose a skull and go back to cash/features, with middle pot not available to collect.

Anyway, this has been here 1 day. Full, £14 middle second board, so i chased it. IT stayed stupidly ready all the time but never went in. This went on and on until i got a power alarm at £180 in :x. I then had to wait 3 hours before that got fixed. When i got back on it offered SSS which i took for a huge £34. Next board natural MS for £35. Still really ready after i took red Numbers Ahoy which lost on £6?! :( . Thought fuck this, and got my milky hat on. A £20 middle which repeated was nice, 3 super streaks for £15, £13 and £12, 4 KOs, red fast cash and a few other bits. In short i put £200 in and got about £130 back.

Looks like anti-force all the way to me.....much like old bellfruits. It probably would have caved in eventually, but i just wanted to get off the bastard. If you see one, just take what you can and leave it. Pure filth.

You chat sense Matt and you seem to know your arse from your elbow, so what the f*ck are you doing putting £180 in this in the first place??

The original programme was shit (I believe there was flaw though), now this seems even worse, another m/c for the bonfire methinks. :x

At least you took the value out of it and probably made your losses back on the very next Red! :P

I know these aren't great, but if you get £14 offered first board then you should be ok! I've chased a few of the p1's and the most it has ever cost is £120 and that took the piss greatly. Usually it's about a cluedo/panther amount of £60-£90 to get the no loser from a good starter, quids in if earlier. Had one roll for MS/SSS/MS/£35/£20/£8 a while back off £60, so they can be ok if ready enough....but this just takes the biscuit. Still, we live and learn 8) I was a good ton up before that too, and clawed a bit back after to actually finish the day up overall, but feeling like you've lost a sackload. Know the feeling?? :x

I used to quite like the original program, as you could snare it into a three-red-skulls board quite easily if you knew your number reels and used the bonus wisely. This new one however, sounds pretty tosh. Cheers for the heads up! I'll see if any of mine have changed this weekend, although I 'guess' it might just be newly sited machines?

It sounds like the best way to play that is kick it really hard a few times, spit on it and whack the top glass really hard with your fist and spit on it a few more times. Strim the note acceptor, thump it, kick it, batter it, try some dodgy pound coins, head butt it, thump it and switch it off.

Here's Mattb's reply as he is ill in bed today and asked me to post it on his behalf.

"Hi chaps! I was a bit down in the dumps yesterday what with that bloopin' floopin' carribean trash. However, my bad mood didn't last long. I was walking through the park near the River Cam and bounced off a seesaw, slid along a punt and crashed into a big bottle of Pimms, before skiddadling into a pub I'd never been in before which had a ten player link up Grand Golden Vortex. I tried a quid and it whistled for the reds after giving the hold on GM Pexxes before doing a multiple £105 drop for about £600 profit! I hadn't even switched to Mega Spin/play at this point. For afters I found some Grand Golden Cleudos which kept whistling for lines for 3105. That's not a typo, I didn't forget to press shift for £ instead of 3, I actually won 3105 pounds. I feel better already actually. I might go out and batter a few Grand Golden Deal or no Deal What's in your box?es now. Cambridge should run out of pound coins, any chance someone can fly some in from Ipswich? Cheers! Take care....bye!"

spot on matt

Played both versions of this and the new prog is def anti force. I also got caught out last weekend 150 in only managed to claw back 42 before bar closed. It offered 14 from red lines on my 1st pound too. never mind wide birth next time.

Another thing on this...

Onthe old ones Shiver Me Timbers was the big blaster equivalent. I had a board on the new version here today, and got offered it red with an 11 in view. Thought i'd just have it and run seeing as it was £12 guaranteed. Was very surprised when it turned out to now be a DOND feature! Basically it rmoves a few lights from the cash trail and gives you an offer based on whats left. I no dealed myself down to the end and was left with £4 and £35, and an offer of £16. Refused that to see what would happen....a dapple between the two amounts. Bashed it for a lucky £35. Wonder what made them change it?!!

Just thought i'd let you know in case you get offered it. Gawd knows what it is not red though, probably just rubbish.

Matt re shiver me timbers red. It used be slow down on hi lo reels and when you hit bonus 7 it was MS. It was a good way to get the extra 35 after the initial MS. Sad that this has now gone.
