This machine is crap but my tips are:
Sack off any bored at the start if theres a question mark showing.
Make good use of the respin as red bars can be achieved.
As soon as shuffle means a ? mark is showing just sack off the bored whatever you have unless its red bars.
Red bars: If you get fruit repeater with true skill repeat and its pissing about with cherrys and mixed sevens then just hit no as its wasting your time and will set it back.
Hot shot is quite easy to hit even when fast.
Hit 4 on skill seven for a JP but you should know this.

Sack off the board ? No you just hi/lo on the start square for a skill choice board.

True but if you get there it 90% of the time wont give you a ? free board!

No mate. You start on the start square. 99% of the time you can hit a no ? board. Just winning the hi/o gamble is the hard part.

I know on the start you can I'm talking if half way through a feature you land on shuffle. Getting to the start from there is hard enough and if you do its not likely to offer you a ? free board

I may well be being picky here but you said at the start not half way through. There's no safe cash on ? so if you only need 1 or 2 more shots for JP there's no point in sacking off the board just because shuffle brings a ? in.

Depends if your forcing I suppose, JP normally kills it off completely, £10 then for the next board!
