Reel or No Reel - Empire
Jeeeeeeezzz!! What a crock of poop! I was in a pub playing pool with a chum, when a guy I recognised came in and got the mandatory half pepsi before moving on to play this machine.
In short, he put £210 in and got about 10 boards during that time!!! With no win higher than £5 offered. It was full after the first £15 or so, and was dropping onto a mound of money. As it was only me, my mate, this guy and the barman, we were all gathered around the machine near the end, and I could see he was nearly crying!
Anyone else had the misfortune of this pile?

"And do you ever contradict yourself, Minister?" "Well, yes and no..."

They're allowed to alter the odds to near-impossibility (just not total impossibility) in the short term (IE when they detect forcing) as long as they pay out correctly over hundreds of thousands of games.
As for actually detecting forcing, all you need is a real time clock somewhere in the machine, and a check on the last time the start button was pushed, and a record of rejecting low wins.
Agreed. I had to whack £160 into a particular machine today from being £1 off full and not recently refilled to the best of my knowledge. In the end it gave invincible+invincible+invincible+2repeats+£5+invincible+invincible with a few £8/£6/random blooplahs. That's £245 in jackpots though! There was some cost to the boards, but I left it practically empty.
Very stubborn considering it was showing from the off.

I've only seen Reel Or No Reel twice; the first time I thought it was OK (mainly because I made £20 profit) and the second time it flatly refused to do anything.
I tried so hard to get MS but the bloody thing always throws in the £35 cash shot and auto-collects. I shan't be hurrying to play it again.

This machine may at times offer a choice where the player has every chance of bankruptcy
