Post by uber-pro »

Hiya,

Anyone got a reel guide for the "Secret" reel on DOND, they are all the same as far as I know (at least they all start and end the same!).

If not, maybe we can make one together??!! I can start off,

i think he wants to write how the reel band goes on the dond feature reel so you will hopefully be able to guess how far it has gone round and estimate what amount is in the box

They wouldn;t change the reel, not for old machines, that would cost loads to roll out surely? Not as if its just a piece of paper to stick on, but the program too.

Yep, thats what I'm after.

You can usually see the start of the reel, and with a bit of knowledge and a bit of experince, then you'll know roughly whats its spun to, and more importantly, which boxes it definately did NOT spin to.

Sure some people doing p5's will have a fair idea, I never paid that much attention when I still had one!

What about mis-aligned lights behind the reel, sometimes it'll light up a bit of the valve above/below the box, no-one got one of those? Any info will help, and although its not gonna make us fortunes, it'd help evenone make a few more quid! Not that we should be playing the majority of these machines in the first place!!

They wont change the reel, as it'll cost a fortune, wont cause major swings in the machines %age, and theres nothing to stop people figuring out the new order.

Bit OT: but anyone have a £35 pot DOND CYBTB, thats got £25 on display as the second top value, but the reel only ever has £20 on it???! Went mad at the guy in ladbrokes when this happened to me as having bad day. He paid me the £5, got an engineer out, then next week exactly the same thing happened! Useless fkucer.

Each box has a different mark
Some its hard to tell but its a choice between 2
If one gets knocked out you know its the other
Doing P5's this was needed really

Yeah, each box has a different mark, but these aint delberate. So each machine has different marks. Bits of dust, fingerprints etc, thats how I was doing p5's anyway.

For reference, £4 has the reel number at the edge, will be a 4 or 5, not obvious unless you look. Also has the join in the reel at the top.

£5 has the join at the bottom.

Red lazer pens dont do it.

Bright white light (phone flash) just reflects back.

There has to be a colour that will do it, as thats how it works in the first place right?! UV light??

Maybe backlighting the reel it crucial tho...

I spent 50p on a car boot on a lousy red flash light fob thing. It doesn't work. The mirror is instrumental. It's all directional.

a friend of a friend who i met today can see the ammounts in the boxes with nothing more than his eyes. when he told me i thought he was pulling my plonker before he preceded to call correctly every box amount in the DOND i played. havent an effing clue how he did it, just stared intentl yat it for bit then called it. tres wierd i think u'll agree but he is now my new machine companion.

and uber-pro, i think that 20p is either directly above or below MS, which i judge to be about a quater of the reel from the start pos.
