You just can't win. Only machines with profit are reds and they have to be ready, and when they are streaking for £140s/£200s now, well?! casual punters are not interested, rather play quiz machine.

Town centre addicts are reducing in numbers BIG TIME

Gambo that's 'orrible!
Matt there's some reasonable stuff there. Compliments the Panthers/Rovers/Suspects/New one that is on Fruit Emu but I haven't seen yet.

Nah, there's a picture of it in a Bazpeeb what's new? thread.

Probably protected by a s4 dongle ztech system anyway.

Mine just got slightly better, before it was full of BFM's and not a single red, in the last week just got a Vortex and OAR.

Completely agree with you here jeff, most town centres are rubbish now, with mostly global (ie. gamesmedia etc.)/bfm machines, accounting for 90% of the total number of machines....

Sometimes there is a couple of (always) burnt cluedo +clones, and sometimes you see a refilled red or 2 that will no doubt be miles off ready....

I'm sure this isn't the case for EVERY town, but it definantely is for MOST towns! I'm finding at the moment, you are actually lucky not to LOSE in most town centres (ie.from checking machines/drinks etc.), those who do actually know good town centres - milk em whilst it lasts!

I don't bother with any town centres around here, even Reds are getting scarce.

Too much Bellfruit stuff in amongst that list, for my liking Matt :)

I really can't think of any local places near me with a good selection of Reds anymore - it's now a case of maybe 1 in 8 machines being a Red, whereas a couple of years ago I was surrounded by them. 3 in 8 seem to be a DOND variation, which I simply don't touch; 2 of those 8 are a GamesMedia and the rest an uneven spread of Extreme remnants/'other' Bellfruits/BTQ variations/pathetic Barcrests.

I've even resorted to taking a train ride a good 15 miles to an in-the-sticks Toby Carvery, which has the only Invincible I've got left.

I remember when I used to be an addict, every Friday was wage day, around £200-£250 in my wallet, straight to the pub, playing the likes of Jack & The Beanstreak, Carry On Screaming, Decent Barcrests, early Reds etc. I had not much of an idea of JPMS at the time and could never time Big Brothers etc.

Yes, my wage would probably be gone by the middle of the week.

Now, lets just say I was in the same position now, with the absolute garbage out there, my wage would be gone by Friday Evening.

Machines are just not enjoyable for the casual punter or the addict anymore. Surely the industry has to change. What happened to all the creators of classic machines we all loved and enjoyed?

Maybe the £35 Jackpot has ruined it.
