Trivial Pursuit Games Media

Post by Hangman21 »

Anyone else seen this pile of junk by Games media?

Played it forced it out and lost.

Seems to be a test machine and hopefully wont get made.

No question marks or game overs around the board which is like a trivial pursuit game board. Levels for Supershots like Gold Rush 4 in total i think.

Dice that give you 1 - 6 with question mark and game over also answer a question which is true or false. So at any time it can give you game over with the press of the start button.

The true or false questions which are real toughies heres a couple of examples:

Did Adolf Hitler have a Beard? true or false
Do Bees live in Hives? true or false

If you manage to answer these brain teasers correctly then you get some money added into your cashpot.

Surpose its a different idea but a poor one.

I suggest if you see it leave it well alone.

"So at any time it can give you game over with the press of the start button."

That should not be allowed.

A patent for the ending of a game, namely a 'game over' should be filed for with the patent office of a player's choosing. Until that time jackpots shall be freely available. Amen.

On the outer circle yes. If you land on a pie you move from one end to the other with cashpot shots in the middle. Once you go out at other end you are on the outer circle again.

should have added you cant go higher or lower on the numbers either.

Looks like we're in for a new wave of clones.

Juggling Jackpots Gold
Bank Buster
Knockout
Even Trivial Pursuit looks similar

Is this a record for the amount of clones a m/c can have?

Or is every RED made an actual clone of the first, haha! :P

Juggling Jackpots Gold - looks a bit pointless to me .... I can't see ANYTHING different about this re-make to the original.

Power Shots - looks like your average clone, but there appear to be 4 pots to shoot at instead of the usual three: Cash shots, Feature Shots, Super Shots, and ... er, something else which is too small to read! Also seems to have squares which change colour to accomodate the extra pot, a bit like the old Paint The Town Red board.

Bank Buster - this one looks the most interesting, even if it does appear to be the first Games Media clone claiming to hit you with Safe Cash as a 'feature of the game' rather than the Cashing Out mystery. I'm curious about the top of the machine: the notes for the Big Money feature add up to £140 :) It's branded under the Cool Games logo, but looks slightly like Take Your Pick/Open The Box with regard to the artwork :(

Knock Out - a complete copy of Gold Rush. Form your own opinions.

Trivial Pursuit - Looks interesting this one. At least it seems someones thought about how to make a game slightly different, if it's correct that questions scroll across the alpha. Think I'd like to see this one for real.
This machine may at times offer a choice where the player has every chance of bankruptcy
