a refill key will tell you how much money is in a machine,
if you "key" a machine the little screen simply flashes up however much money is in the machine,

however this is only usefull if you know when the machine was filled up by the owner, because only money put in to actually play the machine counts towards the money it can pay out.

so if the machine is full and you know that someone has lost a fair bit in it, you should have a higher chance of winning some money.
