Epoch Maygay Simpsons Free Play Mystery!

I've got a Simpsons machine (love it) and read on Ebay the other day from a guy selling the same one that it has free play mode. Does anyone have any idea how to access this as for the life of me I can't find it. The bloke told me you turn it on with the lower panel removed and this does not work for me!

Try pressing start button aout 6 times

OK so to be fair I've had a couple of wines but I've tried turning machine on with bottom drawer open and it comes up as normal. Pressing start has no effect whatsover. I think I need a detailed description on this one!

If that doesn't work there will be a test button somewhere in the bottom door.

I assume you hit it once for test play and twice for payout, meter, lamp tests etc. Thats the way most machines are anyway.
