Why? Is it a £6 in for £5 jackpot every board machine?

Agreed. I think these are dire.

At first glance they look quite interesting, albeit rather confusing. As soon as you've sussed what's going on though, you can see them for what they really are; typical Mazooma fare with a huge block, a game from which scarcely any enjoyment can be derived.

I see it as a cross between JPM games like 5 Liner, and the original BFG Lord of the Rings. Simply gamble freely up to the maximum value allowed (usually between £1 and £1.80 on the 10p/£5 ones), then lose whatever the number. Throw in a few features that you're never going to take, add a few interesting touches that only come in when you've got plenty of room to gamble anyway (rendering them pointless as they never help you past the block), and you've got another run-of-mill 5-line game that you can't possibly win on in the short term, save the rare occasion where you might sneak a couple of quick boards and collect something each time.

Mazooma have even managed to make the 'Red Line' bonus completely pointless and trivial; it's nothing more than a random stop on the cash ladder and then you start the feature, only to gamble to the block and lose yet again.

Looks to me like a straight forcing game, which for one second, looks something quite different and interesting. But it isn't. I'm told a couple of the high features are quite good, but by then you're always too far involved to want to take them, and you only get offered them if you're forcing anyway, so you'll just plough straight on regardless. And last time I looked, a Mega Streak on most machines would give you the jackpot value minimum, maybe a few quid more. Not so on here - £3 odd on the 10p/£5 ones, and probably £10-15 tops on the £35's.

So in conclusion, nothing to see here... :(

yeah i agree, top feature only goes flat 99% of the time too. Its looks good when you get a IM board tho and all the cars light up down the cash trail :) just doesnt happen often enough!

I had an IM on the £35/50p version of this the other day that went for about £80 as the top feature was red - the barman was a little shocked when I asked to change up that many pound coins. If it wasn't Spoons, I wouldn't have asked!

Saw it empty later on in the evening, oweing £1!

The MS on the £35 versions can go over £105.

I actually quite like these, they are so easy to read and unless absolutely dead don't cost much for a board either.

I've had 3 Mental money monsters and a Monoply all £35 JP's crop up near me. I think theyre all right it goes. A bit different than most machines. Not had more than a £35 MS yet though.

MS is not the top feature on this though, 'Road To Riches' is (On the top tier of the feature rack, or the top of the cash trail). MS will only be about £15 as it's a feature on the second tier.

One thing to note - if you get Super Skill Stop (unlikey, but hey!) and you hit the RtR at the top of the trail, it'll say 'Now try it in red!' on the alpha and give you another go to try and turn the top feature super. ;)

Have had a £105 out of one before, (staggered, £70 off an IM followed by a SSS top for £35) but have also witnessed (and experienced) the completely indestructible blocks at £3 / £5 / £8 / £10 and plenty more to boot.

As the Mystery Plum stated, no gameplay / interest whatsoever though, it's a pure force. If you get too many feature shots, you'll get 'Extra Zone' a couple of times, but then never get any more shots to be able to hit a decent feature - watch the way it pretty much 'always' gives extra zone on the first tier before offering super 'Super Streak'. Grr...

You must be unlucky then, MMM reguarly goes for £70. I even had a £123 top in a service station, which resulted in a £10 IOU. Did I get my money back?

What do you reckon??????

Another point in this is DO NOT try and SSS method it - it won't work! These have a different streak profile in that the streak is all paid from the R2R feature rather than a top and SSS like older ones. Play for the top and it's much more like a red in that it will give flat or big tops. I've had:

£35
£40
£45
£60
£70
£85

from these. Obviously if it goes flat then see another board to work out the rechase chance.

Matt V now your just being pedantic.
I Did mean the Road to Riches streak but I've not had it of feature shots. i've had it once on R2R and twice on MMM but i've always got it from the top of the cash stack.

I had my (Super) R2R Streak from feature shots through an IM... but I guess it would've been achieveable through the cash side too...

The machine looked awfully pretty with all those cars down the side, haha
