Agreed. I think these are dire.
At first glance they look quite interesting, albeit rather confusing. As soon as you've sussed what's going on though, you can see them for what they really are; typical Mazooma fare with a huge block, a game from which scarcely any enjoyment can be derived.
I see it as a cross between JPM games like 5 Liner, and the original BFG Lord of the Rings. Simply gamble freely up to the maximum value allowed (usually between £1 and £1.80 on the 10p/£5 ones), then lose whatever the number. Throw in a few features that you're never going to take, add a few interesting touches that only come in when you've got plenty of room to gamble anyway (rendering them pointless as they never help you past the block), and you've got another run-of-mill 5-line game that you can't possibly win on in the short term, save the rare occasion where you might sneak a couple of quick boards and collect something each time.
Mazooma have even managed to make the 'Red Line' bonus completely pointless and trivial; it's nothing more than a random stop on the cash ladder and then you start the feature, only to gamble to the block and lose yet again.
Looks to me like a straight forcing game, which for one second, looks something quite different and interesting. But it isn't. I'm told a couple of the high features are quite good, but by then you're always too far involved to want to take them, and you only get offered them if you're forcing anyway, so you'll just plough straight on regardless. And last time I looked, a Mega Streak on most machines would give you the jackpot value minimum, maybe a few quid more. Not so on here - £3 odd on the 10p/£5 ones, and probably £10-15 tops on the £35's.
So in conclusion, nothing to see here...
