Gladiator

Post by Mattb »

Think i maybe the first to have this pop up?

It's a QPS triple Hi/Lo effort. Visually decent, bog standard play though. Same features (fast cash etc) and cash shots, with a slightly different middle. Took 6 Cash KOs for £4, a new hi-lo multiplier for £3, and a £2.50 cash win. £10 out, £7 in. Nothing special, but could be worth a punt in the future.

Anyone else seen it?

Yes Matt i have had this about 2 months
Dont like these hi lo's at all

Although once i played it i collected a bank of £25 from around £10 in
It was probably worth the push but its long and boring and usually does not result in much profit anyway :D

This one however does seem to play better than the others
I just play it for a quickie and leave it

QPS family, or is it a clone of any machines from other manus? At first glance looks like a mix of a couple of types of machines.

These are wasting space in pubs near me too - I just haven't bothered mentioning them.

On the face of it, it's just another clone of Abracadabra: but the blimin' SSS doesn't seem to want to come back until about £15 after an MS.

Anyone else gotten similarly hacked off with it doing this?

In Northampton services about six months ago! Not really tried getting my teeth into it. Assumed it was another GBC. I'll be wary if that's the sp on the sss. Also Fast cash is much.....faster, so there.

Excellent, so you get an MS (min £25), and £15 later you get SSS again, to hit MS for another £25. So you've got an MS, and £15 later you get SSS again, to hit MS for another £25. So you've got an MS.....

and on, and on and ariston... and on, and on, and on and ariston....

you dont appear to understand WHY you are getting sss at all and what's happening between knocking it back and it returning.

I seriously had this m/c in our local over 6 months ago.

It is a really dreadful clone.

MS only ever went for £25. SSS never came back.

Although the middle board is quite good for red cash strikes. 4 or 5 was quite often £20.

Free tip, watch for the gladiator logo flashing when on a gamble, it means it's a no lose.

in all honesty though, I wouldn;t play this m/c again unless I knew it had taken a shed load. :)

I don't profess to fully understand the whys and wheres of it - but I thought it was the case that if you went down the 'knock-back-the-SSS-and-make-sure-you-get-the-MS-via-an-IM-board' route that you'd be upping your chances of the SSS returning.

That certainly seemed to be the case with some of the older machines. However it wouldn't go that way on the one, and I got very bored very quickly.

Just to point out that I fully accept that I might be going about it the wrong way, before anyone starts pointing fingers at me!

This machine is at the local on the broads and a lot of boaters come in a feed it a few quid here and there. I go on about 10pm and it tends to pay out nice.

One questions, you mentioned SSS, whats that, ive probably been lazy to read or ive simply forgotten.

Played it Sat noon at the pub with bro and put £4 in and walked away with £13..

sss = super-skill-stop

the bonus on the trail will offer sss when the machine is about to pay a jackpot

its a fast skillstop on the trail and money, the lights will move up and down the first movement will go from the number 4 on the trail right up to the top on the cash ladder.. then it'll hover around between £2 and £10

if you missed the jackpot on sss it would usually give you sss again within 3 or 4 more bonuses, if you could get a jackpot or top streak on the board before getting the sss again, it'd come back after, meaning you got two jackpots instead of one

one thing with gladiator, im sure there was something wrong with it? didnt it crash at certain points? or kill on an IM or something?
