Daily refills - is it a new problem?

Post by Alpine021 »

Just wondering... who is affected by pubs that refill daily, and do u have ways of getting round it.

Or do u just not play in that particular pub / bar bacause of it

Weatherspoons seem to do it a lot, and Yates.

Can be a pain in the ass. If I do play in these pubs I just be careful and look for other signs. A full hopper doesn't always mean you will make a profit.

if you really want/need to know the balance go in the night before
the refills are done in the morning.
good for a one day hit, but complicated to work out over the course of a week or more

dont go thinking you'll make friends with the barman and ask them how much they were topped up by, as the only person who will know is the duty manager, and they aint gonna tell you.. unless you know them!

True Spyder, I'm a Duty Manager and I will always lie to people asking

I play the mc's so I have every right to :)

If you really wanna be a geek about it, just note down the refill clicker number top right of the cab and work out from day to day how much has been refilled, its not hard if u frequent a few times a week

lol then people will start to block the refil meters lol.

it is really annoying, especially when it seems the machines are ALWAYS streaked before being refilled. We saw some guy playing a Stack Attack in a closed pub at 3am once, making himself a few bob then refilling it so that the punters get stitched in the morning.

I do find it can sometimes be useful, as if you go later in the day, you can tell wether the machine has paid out or not.

Sometimes it's outside leisure companies who refill the machines not the barmen at the pub.
