Has gaurenteed 2 spins after getting the third phone gone?

I was on a LP DOND yesterday for the first time, and after getting the third phone I thought "OK, 2 spins and see what happens".
1st spin, "?" - lose.
Is this the only DOND that doesnt do 2 spins or is it the norm now?

You can play DOND on a ?, never really thought about the two spins things as usually you get an extra life on DOND boards.

yea, usually get an extra life and can collect on the ?, so its essentially 2 extra lifes (normal DOND's cant collect on ?), meaning you have the chance to build up the stacks so can collect something when the ? comes.
killing first move is harsh anyway on a DOND board

Normally the whole point of playing a dond is either the phones/cob so just take it surely?
Unless it's a big deal/cc etc.
That's if you really do insist on playing them anyway.
