Yep Gary spot on for the £35s. However another school of thought agrees with SG for the £70s. I don't, I reckon it's random 1p-£40 with chance of £70 if available. Then again there's plenty who'd agree with SG about the happier it is, the more likely you'll see £20/35/£70/Mega Prize.
I've not played them enough, bar HOFs and I know on them that 2*£70 bar 'IM then £70' is not possible, well I've not seen it over many £1000s played through.
I'd suspect Crazy Chair+ is all the same, based on discussions with people who do go in for them.

The boxes on all dond having spoke to programmers are random with weights, ie. £70/mega is a lower weighting to shit boxes. The weights are different on different dond's, ie. its ur show/italianjob etc. have a much lower weighting on the £70 box than say perfect game or other newer ones....
It's not to say any of them can give £70 at any point, it's just a question of getting lucky, just that some of them require more "luck" than others.
I find it hard to believe anyone would be stupid enough to think that £70 is as likely as 1p, especially on older conversions where it is blatently obviously not the case!!!

ob: I'll go along with that.
Not that anyone really needs it explaining (I hope!) but I guess it would be an expanded version of:
1 - 1p
2 - 1p
3 - 1p
4 - 1p
5 - 1p
6 - 10p
7 - 10p
etc...
505 - £20
506 - £20
507 - £35
508 - £35
509 - £70
510 - MS
Then a random number between 1 and 510 is selected. These spreads may be adjusted in some of the games dependant on the pot save, etc.

Not to turn this into another one of those 'explaining random' debates, but...
There is such a thing as 'weighted randomness' - as ob and I chatted about above.
Did you ever have a flying P5 only for all the games to yield blues, out of interest?

before i knew about all this random stuff i used to think the game was fixed, then i thought the machine would choose a box based on what it can afford to pay. if it can afford to pay £40, then choose a box £40 or less, if its dead and can only pay £10, then choose the £10 box or so randomly, etc. ... now ... im not so sure

Agree with the older stuff but not totally convinced about some of the 70's. We'll never know for sure.anfield road wrote:empty stoppers on 30p with the boxes and p5s proves its random, obvisouly being programmed along the lines..... but nothing too do with how well its playing otherwise a stopper and p5 being like £10k behind would be hitting 1p surely
Random on the £70s aswel

yea, which is a stupid way of doing it imo. fair enough it should be random, but should only offer the max it can afford.Mattb wrote:Nope, not the case. The box selected doesn't generally reflect readiness, its just if you get a £70 box when its not ready or red boxing and not ready, it'll just screw up the board afte for £50+ until its recouped.
