Goldrush(player)............Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick
dtd will confirm this.
at the £20 block on an 8 with a step to the red 11 ( so basically prised in MS ) so the machine just went "game over" after a quick pause and threw us back onto the reels.
This really gets my goat when machines have been tricked into a win and they just lock up, normally they jusy freeze up (ask BFK about mystery nudging £15 on Beer Guide) which you can tell you've screwed the machine over but to actually say "Game Over" as if we had lost gamble of some sort without even gambling is pure chunder.

Gah, if the machines aren't bad enough already - this is just not on. Sloppy, sloppy programming. There should never really be the need for error-trapping routines in fruits, but obviously there is: "Oh no, this player has got me in a corner! Er, Error Code 1451: 'Game Over'". :x
"And do you ever contradict yourself, Minister?" "Well, yes and no..."
I had something similar on a PCP Aladdins Cave some 18 years ago. I filled the name up, hit 'NUDGES' and gambled up to 7. There didn't appear to be much there, but lo and behold, 30p was flashing so I pressed autonudge and waited for my grapes. Instead the middle reel spun round and stopped a few times, and then the alarm went off.
Absolutely disgusted. I mean, that 30p could have gambled up to the 1.50 jackpot for fucks sake.
About a week later I had the same thing, but this time I was expecting it. I had 6 nudges and I could see that the best win was three oranges for 8p, but again it was flashing 30p for grapes, even though they were miles away. Sensing some sort of bug in the nudge analysis code, I called someone over to witness it.
Which they did, and I got paid out.
So remember kids it always pays to get a member of staff as a witness. I ended up with 30p instead of 8p, which was a handsome 22p profit.
I think on that particular day I did my bollocks in a Blue Streak in the end, but I had a good run...

That skillstop used to cheat alot, much to my chagrin. Usually it would happen on my last few credits. It used to do it on cash smash, cash alarm, test pilot, hit fifty and solid gold, although solid golds were a lot harder to hit anyway.Mattb wrote:Hahah great....did you miss the skillstop on the k a few times?![]()

remember most of those trayhop.
particularly liked the step n skip ,stop n flip,ratrace/goldmine/starturns
and that black hole crest was alright for turning upside down for the 10's tube
i once had something extremely anomalous happen on a line up,3 pound tokens . had bars roll straight in
i mean, anything over 50p was a rarety as you'll know, and then the bugger feature held and blip ,blip, blip, auto held the win ....................6 times
never seen that on one of those .21 pound of 10p tokens back in for 11 quid of tens

Cashcade, golden shot, fruit swap, lucky lady, both spoofs, loony bin, masterspy aladdins cave and treasure trove were among my many favourites.
Fruit cracker? Do you mean the one with the 40p to £2 gamble? They were also great games..........
Ahhh..... Happy days.
Anyone remember the original mechanical each way nudgers?
Those 10p tokens, or discs as I used to call them were great. Still got a few at home.

yep i do mean that one
it was the 40p gamble to 2quid that made it so great . expesh when it held sometime 2 or even 3 times
that meant a cbm 64 mastertronic 1.99 game , a burger , the luxery of bus fare home ( i must have walk'd home a 100 times in those days lol), and a decent float for the next day.
cant get a board these days for 8quid lol
