the reason i said that was because these 'gamblers' sign up on here.
Something comes up and they get wind of it.
they show there non playing mates, who also go out and make a mint on
machines they dont even know how to play.
Chip n spin and even the cleudo yank are top examples.
and as for whoever decides to sit on a dond for 2hrs to do 200 quid thats your decision, but as far as im concerned, you are just any other normal
swede head.
Soon old men who put there change from there pint in the fruit will be signing up.
What happened to the old days when playing was unheard of???
I just think something has to be done

Thats complete rubbish. I've got several mates who come out with me when I go on a gamble, several of whom usually have a few quid on a fruity themselves. But only 1 of them is willing to risk the amount needed to force out a red. 4 of them have seen me do the cluedo trick (the easy one) yet only 1 of them have actually tried it themselves and he failed to do it. What seems easy to us isn't to people who'm usually just press start and collect wins. Most people think i'm mad for going round strange pubs on my own carrying 100 + coins on me searching out fruitys worth playing because most people just don't believe that you can profit big time from machines.danthedude66 wrote:the reason i said that was because these 'gamblers' sign up on here.

Joe bloggs can't come on here, read something then turn into a great player. They have to be a seasoned player already to find some of the info on here highly profitable. The main thing newcomers get from this site is knowing what machines not to bother playing. which in turn would do us a favour as the less people playing the crap stuff the less chance of them getting cloned.

The difference between gambler and player is something of a colloquial difference.
In relation to a fruit machine
A gambler is someone who likes a gamble, how they play is their choice.
A 'player' is someone who knows how to extract value. They may also like a gamble, but there **is** a difference, in colloquial fruit slang, between a player and a gambler.
You would expect a gambler to show a long term loss, a player, you would expect to show a long term profit.

so it would seem that im the only one thinking there are too many 'gamblers' on here rather than players, which is fair enough as i thoroughly believe in everyone having there own opinion.
But if i was, why was there talk of an 'inner sanctum' of fruit chat where the more 'hardcore players' as it were would discuss more private subjects that noobs and 'gamblers' wouldnt be a part of?
And whats the point in having P.Ms if everyone should be entitled to every measly little crum of info that is left in the playing business?
Maybe you are all right and i am just being a twat, but if a true player was asked on the matter im sure they would agree as in the long run, it will be us losing out. And to sum that money is needed to pay bills and feed the kids.

There is a lot of gamblers on here yes dan, but a big proportion of them are on here because a certain machine is in their local, theyre not interested in covering miles of pubs searching out machines.
As for an inner circle. There'd be no need for one if people used the PM's but sometimes it seems people can't help themselves and put hints to things on the board.

Well I must say, that if anyone relies on 'playing' or 'gambling' to that end, it's a sorry state of affairs!Maybe you are all right and i am just being a twat, but if a true player was asked on the matter im sure they would agree as in the long run, it will be us losing out. Spot on...
I want to do something with my life, however small and irrelevant it may be to others, I want to be on that deathbed and know that I made the most of what I had.
Playing fruits should only really be a small part of life - for me, it used to be around 50% of what I did. Now, I'd say it's less than 10%.
I'd say that you are really not thinking of your families future if you think you can 'wing' it by gambling your way through life.
Just my 2p, you understand...

I'm so glad you guys got home before me to reply to that shocking statement about needing to gamble to provide for one's family]have[/b] got to feed mouths - that simply isn't a risk that anyone can justifiably take.pokerpete wrote:because a parent should be providing a long term STABLE financial envionment for a family, and gambling / playing is certainly not that.
you, single people playing for a living, and parents doing it are completely different things.
besides, show some ambition.
Looking back in 50 years time, 'I paid for your upbringing on the proceeds of a fruit machine' is not going to sound like too proud a statement.
This machine may at times offer a choice where the player has every chance of bankruptcy
