King Kerr ching - HELP
King Kerr ching - HELP
Played this today put about £5 for £38 out (prince streak) and £15 and £3 win....
Anyway when collecting the money went down from the bank but nothing was coming out , didnt sound liek anything was trying to either, and no I.O.U was left on the screen..
so i told manager she told me i had to lave my details and the engineer would phone me, this has never happened to me before and its quite a big win by my standards.
After looking at machine after she went bottom of machine looked like was open quite fair bit, as if was on test which would explain it not paying out, but it was taking coins?
Am i likely to get my money back from engineer ( who should see it on last win :s?)
if i dont get it back and machine was discovered to be on free play am i still entitled to it?
cheers

Unfortunatley having worked as a fruit machine engineer it is highly unlikely you will get this money back as it doesnt store in the memory or meters. Also on free play machines play alot "nicer" so to speak so you cant argue that the machine meant to do it. However like you said you put money in but really you should have relised that it was in test mode as it is normally quite obvious? Any how if I were you I would keep phoneing the supplier direct if they wont give you anything and hopefully eventually they should give you something. Out of interest who was the supplier?
Right i find out tomorrow (today) if i am gettng money back after engineer has looked at the varience sheet, judging circumstance is it going to show up on there, i dont want them thinking im a liar, and if its not there surely im entitled to what i put in the machine back?
also seeing as machine is working again now, whats best way of playing this, good sign if i get into shot superboard at top?
dont seem to be much progression
thankyou!!!!!!!!

It wasnt obvious, and even if it was surly i dont have to say to them it was they dont know how much i know about this kind of thing (all be it limited)popp665 wrote:Unfortunatley having worked as a fruit machine engineer it is highly unlikely you will get this money back as it doesnt store in the memory or meters. If an operator offers a service that costs my money (not just fruit machines!), then they better be sure that the service works as intended, or just not take my money. Otherwise it is no more than a scam, for which they would be rightly fined for in court. Off the top of my head, it contravenes sales description and contract law. However like you said you put money in but really you should have realised that it was in test mode as it is normally quite obvious?
When a fruit is on test, they make sure it doesn't pay out. It's not hard to make sure that it won't take coins either.

Yes:d that was the kind of answer i needed, however if they do say, theres no proof i won anything, do they know how much was put in ? although i put £5 in i could say i put over £20 in?blackmogu wrote:If an operator offers a service that costs my money (not just fruit machines!), then they better be sure that the service works as intended, or just not take my money. I played a battleships on test, took me a few quid to realise. engineers were still in the place got the bank up to £75, asked asked them to witness the collect; they paid me back in full
other good results:
devil in disguise span in JP but I knew the reels were out of line. Made them witness it and they paid.
Power cut mid-board of who wants to be a legionnaire; paid me £10 and I got straight back on it a minute later (power was off for about five seconds)
also found a pink panther on test mode when it first came out, allowing you to try out all the features etc (think hold one added to features, excahnage added to cash or whatever) even found a cheat for jp for one of the higher features- something to do with the bonus seven- but i cant remember it now

I once got a £75 bank from a top gearExtreme Eddie wrote:video the bank with your phone as proof and get the manager in shot.
I took a picture to send to a mate (sad i know)
Fire alarm went off in pub m/c went off came back on money still there
Just about to collect alarm went off again m/c went off came back on still there
Straight away alarm went off m/c went off came back on and it had gone
Told manager showed him the picture
He phones the engineer
I returned a couple of hours later and by chance the engineer was just arriving
I explained and showed him the pic with time and date etc
Anyway he refused to verify it saying the last bank was showing as £0
And the picture was no proof and never would be
A bit of an argument then went on but then out of the blue the manager just said 'well i believe him i will pay him from the till'
And he did

Sometimes you get your money back when you dont expect it and don't get it when you do

Go for your money back that you put in the machine, as the operator can simply prove how much you put in providing they use their metering system correctly.
In door switch open mode the machine metering and payout system is disabled for the engineer to test the machine via the test button inside. Then tests such as coins in coins out, reels lamps etc can be done. When finished and the door closed again the machine will resume normal play state with no changes to the cash levels, percentage or metering. In your case someone probably didnt check the door was closed and locked correctly and the machine was in door open mode, allowing coin acceptance, play but no payout. If so then the meters will NOT have registered any of the cash you put in making the total cash in the machine against the meter readings OVER by that amount, As I said, If they use the metering system correctly,Your cash should be returned, no argument. Good luck.

Unfortuatley many operators dont use there meter system properly (even the larger firms). It will be interesting to see how you get on. I wasnt being funny in my previous message its just that unfortunatley the industry is bent for the most part I have been to sites where situations like yours have occured and ive been told not to give the claiment a penny but as i have felt sorry for them just given them the money out the machine anyway which is another reaseon why I know metering isnt always done correctly because I was never pulled up about it. Anyway matters not now I have left the industry and for anyone thinking its a good job and you learn "tricks" think again it was for the most part hell!
well she confirmed machine was on test, and after i said well im entitled to my stake back then, she said it wouldnt of accepted coins, i said it did and i offered to show the manager but she insisted wasnt on test mode and turned if off even after bar staff said they have had problems with it before, so the machine should be turned on at all until fixed properly
she is going to speak to general matter tomorrow to try and get money back if not i will be endorsed wih something.
thank for all your help so far
