Electrocoin

Post by JG »

I know some industry bods read this board.

I need the name and phone number of the person who programmed Deluxe Casino Bar-X. I want an explanation as to why £70+£140 for the first win is accpetable gameplay on a compensated machine that is full to boot.

Also another one to persist with now the 3.1 hype is in the distant mist. I'd also like the name and number of the programmer responsible for making the 'random' version of £70 Rainbow Riches on the T777.

I'd also like to chat with the person who programmed Monopoly Easy Street and find out a number of things which make the game feel like a rip off.

So if you can give me all those contact details I'd be most greatful.

The first one I'd like to meet face to face, the other two can be conducted by email. That's not meant to be threatening, I just think it's such an important issue, it needs to be done tete a tete as a pose to via email.

Cheers,

JG

Deluxe Casino Bar X you say ? Moody things those....you can hit a drier patch than a Magic. Apparently you did. Don't like those payout cycles, I've seen shorter ladders to the moon.

I'm getting to the point I wish I'd never discovered gambling.

How many times have you played the machines and one of the locals tells you that "The only way to get cash out of them is with a crowbar"?

I think maybe they have a point?

She's a cruel mistress isn't she?

I'd imagine that crack/heroin addiction would be more evil, but remember that this runs deep down to flawed psyches.

I'm still addicted(*) and haven't developed emotionally. It was a bizarre concoction of shrewd and stupid that means I could give up tomorrow well, well up on gambling.

To develop emotionally you have to accept your losses and move on in life, pouring your passion into something else. Not trying to paint myself and others as some 1D lunatic here, but it is consuming by its very nature. I'm in a very bizarre spot of make believe at the moment. It is not viable for just anyone to get here and as such I'm rather underqualified to give you sage advice on moving through the development barrier.

My advice to a problem gambler based on experience would be "Learn how to win over time".
Useless advice without substance. If it's making you unhappy and you feel out of control, it's Gamcare or GA but you need to be at rock bottom and wanting to give up.

(*) I have enough knowledge and discipline for this not to be a problem financially or emotionally with others, but deep down you know.

As a final thought, gambling is like psoriasis.

I think it's 'as opposed to' if it's any help to you - always been a niggly irritation of mine, that one. I know I don't post very often, but I'm sure you'll agree anything I do put down is usually gold 8)

GOLD I tell you!

Yes all I can say about these Electrocoin Lo-techs is what I said a while back in that post where you were thinking of going back in for one - they're just sour machines, jumping in and out of tables until they hit percentage, then starting the whole sorry process again. A cycle could be a few hundred games or a few thousand, depending on how far out it drifts before it starts pulling it back in. Going a ton or two without a win is an unfortunate side-effect of this control, especially on the really lumpy ones like Bar-X 10. Why, you could find yourself in a very high percentage table and just be unlucky and never pick a win. Suddenly your time is up and it's back out into a shit 72% table for a couple of hundred games, again no win. Then it's panic-stations and out into another generous table which has an ugly habit of taking eons to claw you back to percentage, so instead of a close bunch of wins so you can walk, it's often a hike of hundreds of games and 4 coffees with 3 sugars, cycling your advantage away to percentage, whilst all the time your will to live has dried up like a cheap ham sandwich left under the air-con unit, and your soul has floated past Mavis and the polish and apron cupboard and out of the door.

Sadly this is why these games are so successful - they make the player commit huge amounts of VTP and time when chasing losses.

Ok cheers Harry I'll try those emails, instead of striking a pose to the MD of Electrocoin. I'm opposed to unnecesary posing as opposed to just casual, natural posing. Of that I'm positive.

Anyway I'm still pretty bloody angry what with all this snow and more snow and well it's just the snow really, but I'd like to meet up with the programmer and give them a damn good shake until they came to their senses.
