If you fancy an outside bet, Hibs are 100-1 to win the SPL with Bill Hill, BETDAQ offer 129-1.

Hibs currently lie top, although when Celtic cuff Gretna tomorrow, they won't be.

After 9 games, Hibs have beaten both the Old Firm and are a pretty good team to watch. Their keeper is a bit of jester at times, and they do like a bit of a crumble.

Many teams start with a blaze of glory, and most fail - hence the big odds.

Still, I stuck a tenner on anyway.

Might as well have given the tenner to me! Celtic will win that easily. Just look at their goal average compared to Hibs....sooner or later they'll be on the wrong side of some close games while Celtic keep on rolling.

I don't often bet on the footie, and the time I posted at other night gives a clue as to how pished I was.

You're right that Celtic will probably walk it this season - they've got a quality side (a lot of it poached from other Scottish clubs). Hib's problem is that it is quite a young side, and whilst they can beat the Old Firm one week, the next they struggle to the likes of Falkirk or Dundee Utd.

Still, it livens up the rest of the season for me.

Oh, and the best odds you'll get these days is 50-1 with Bill Hill, or 71-1 with BetDAQ.
