Am I confident? Well, I think I know a good horse when I see 1 and I love the fact that every single time this one has been under estimated as it makes betting on her that much more enjoyable. For goodness sakes, she was the outsider of 5 or 6 runners when she won at 12/1 easily, she was 5/1 when she looked like she had no chance against Sky Lantern who was stupidly short odds so why can't she win this? The favourite beat Sky Lantern by a length, she beat Sky Lantern by 1/2 a length but her style of running is the sort where she will just come through and win at the end so why not??? These godolphin horses are over rated, its simply the fact that its a well connected horse is running against a less well known one from a smaller yard that has made these prices as they are. 11/4 now anyway.

How often do I put 10pts win on a horse??? Mav will slaughter me if she loses! What makes you go and put balls and all on then Mav? Maybe you know more than me???

Extremely annoying that the 1st horse lost and that Waterwan Run won the race since he had the best form in this type of race. I usually avoid backing winners of low grade races by a distance but as this was a Godolphin horse I went with it, I hope they will also fail with Certified now. That ground looks soft and Ollie Olga won't mind that at all.

Er.... I have no words to describe that run... last... never going, never quickened - can't blame the ground, she's won on it before. Weird. There'll be a reason/excuse given by Mick Channon no doubt. She has not run anywhere near the form she has shown before. Oh dear. SORRY!!!

Absolute nightmare when this happens. I thought Golden Lilac was a cert a few months back and she too ran like he had no legs.

Er.... clearly I am upset... excuse the lack of sense. I have a lovely huge priced runner for tomorrow so hopefully we'll made amends then. Between 25/1 and 33/1 at the moment.

At least I finished off on a winner. Odin. Tomorrow hopefully I redeem myself. My tip for the Cambridgeshire is FURY who you can get between 25/1 and 33/1 on (25/1 with Paddy Power e/w 5 places or 33/1 with Hills e/w 4 places). He should be fine in the ground and has been placed in several big field handicaps. I will find a few more for a multiple but that's going to be the main hope of the day.

Oh look! Someone agrees with me!

OK Mr Bighead, just because you had the genius of picking an odds on winner in a 6 horse race you now think you're champion tipster? You won't get rich backing them, I can assure you.

a top weight has not won that race mog since 1995, but I do think its not a bad bet at 33/1 ew, i may have a small interest.

4.50 espirit de midas 16/1, looks a good each way bet, with ivory only having one horse at this meet...not bad form either
1.55 steeler 7/2
2.25 maureen 5/2 Hughes for Hannon cant see much beating it
3.00 this is race to watch not to bet in....too hard
3.40 bronze angel at 12/1 good each way bet...should be in the mix
4.15 botanica 7/1 this is my nap of the day , i think it will win and def should place
5.25 angel gabrial 8/1 , fallon on board.....koukash wants a winner here.....

Oh here we go with the daft facts and figures.... so its been 17 years since a top weight has won a 35 runner handicap? Wow, what a fact. Where were all of these top weights drawn? How many hard luck stories were there? Were these top weights any good? Did they get bad rides? Etc, etc. This is a horse who was 4th in the 2000 guineas, who is used to running in big fields, who does win, who wants a fast pace and will get it. Here's an interesting fact for you, Bronze Angel hasn't run for 100 days! That may be an advantage but I won't be betting a penny on it.
Now for the rest of my picks for today....

1.55 Newmarket FANTASTIC MOON 3/1 Steeler won't be beating him.
2,25 Newmarket WINNING EXPRESS 5/1 I have tipped this before and it did what the name suggests. The dangers are Rosdhu Queen and Ceiling Kitty, not the useless Maureen.
3.00 Newmarket ELUSIVE KATE 5/2 Beauty Parlour is from France - so was Golden Lilac who got her ass whipped here on this sort of ground. I'm not having a French raider coming here and getting stupid prices like 7/4 and winning, it very rarely happens and she isn't as good as they make out.
3.40 Newmarket FURY 33/1 - if you don't fancy that, I'd go for Chil The Kite out of the more fancied runners, Postscript also is a big price with a chance.
4.15 Newmarket RED TURBAN 5/1 Impressive 1st time out winner, will continue to improve.
4.50 Newmarket IDLER 12/1 At least this horse has won a couple of races recently, unlike the rest of the field. Low weight, in with a chance.
5.25 Newmarket ENERY 9/1 Tipped this earlier in the week when it was a non runner, they've saved him for this. Decent chance.

I did fancy a few at Haydock until I saw the ground is HEAVY so fuck that!

Good luck, MOG. You need a change. Enery at 9/1 isn't the best value. Get yourself on to Betfair and take 26.0 . I like Beauty Parlour to win. On all known form it should be about Evens. Isn't often a very good horse gets a new trainer, especially one as eminent as HRAC.

Didn't see the new trainer but this horse has beaten nothing and got done over by a 25/1 shot last time with no excuses. Elusive Kate is a far more reliable runner in my eyes. Soumillon can be a fantastic jockey but he can also be a complete and utter twat rather like his fellow frog countryman, Olivier "I'll get Goldikova beaten somehow" Peslier.

I doubt Cecil has done more than smile at her, pat her on the head and feed her a carrot since he's been mega sick with the cancer treatment, poor bloke.
